Newly Completed Versum Business Center in Riga Goes Solar

The third building of the Versum business center, which offers innovative office-showroom-warehouse spaces, has been completed. The center will be powered by an on-site solar park, making Versum the first energy-independent stock office complex in Riga during sunny periods.
The first two buildings of Versum, constructed with an innovative and environmentally friendly approach, were completed last summer, covering a total area of 8,000 square meters. The newly completed Building C adds approximately 3,700 square meters of business space to the complex. With the completion of the third building, Versum becomes a fully integrated business center, offering companies office, showroom, and warehouse spaces under one roof.
Sustainable Three-in-One Business Spaces
Tatjana Arhipova, CEO of Estmak Capital, the developer of Versum, emphasizes the center’s innovative and sustainable approach: “The completion of this last phase is a key milestone in our long-term vision. Our goal is to create a sustainable and efficiently designed logistics business center with a unique atmosphere that attracts modern-thinking companies and supports their growth.”
Versum, also a nominee for the best project at the BREL Awards, has been well received by clients. Many of the spaces have already been booked and many occupied. Amongst the tenants are well-known brands such as Eden Springs, Poly Systems, Condair, and Hydrox. The green approach and three-in-one concept help businesses reduce rental, operational, and logistics costs while increasing process efficiency.
The center’s high sustainability standards are confirmed by the internationally recognized BREEAM certification. The buildings meet A-class energy standards and feature smart technologies, including rooftop solar panels and heat recovery ventilation systems. Large windows provide ample natural light, and each tenant can control their indoor climate.
Versum benefits from its location on Ulbrokas Street in Riga’s rapidly developing business district. The area has excellent transport connections and is close to large residential neighbourhoods, making it convenient for both customers and employees. The green courtyard includes relaxation areas, parking spaces, and EV charging stations. The showroom spaces also allow direct vehicle access to warehouses.
Solar Park Covers Energy Demand on Sunny Days
Alongside the completion of the second construction phase, Estmak Capital has announced the development of a unique solar park. The park will make Versum the first stock office complex in Riga to fully cover its energy needs during sunny periods.
“Beyond its environmental benefits, the solar park will help Versum’s tenants reduce their monthly utility costs,” said Tatjana Arhipova. “It also enhances the green credentials of both Versum and its tenants’ brand images.”
The solar park will cover an area of 1,420 square meters – approximately the size of three and a half basketball courts. The park will have a total capacity of 320 kW, comparable to the energy consumption of around 50 households. Since the park generates more energy during peak sunlight hours than the complex consumes, a smart battery system with a 610 kWh capacity and 300 kW output will store excess energy for later use.
A Cutting-Edge Business Hub for Startups and Corporations
The launch of the solar park in April 2025 will mark the full completion of Versum in its current form. Built with sustainability in mind, the integrated office, showroom, and warehouse spaces provide tenants with outstanding opportunities for energy-efficient and flexible business operations.
Versum’s spaces are suitable for businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large multinational corporations.
