First Dog Racing Paradise in Estonia launched by Estmak Capital & Basfor

Ever wondered just how fast your dog can really run? Or how much they’d enjoy dashing through the wind, ears flapping and tail wagging? A new kind of joy for dogs is on its way – Estonia’s first official dog racing track is being built just outside Tallinn, with support from Estmak Capital.
A bold idea worth backing
Behind this unprecedented project in the Baltics is Basfor, a dog club powered by young visionaries and bold ideas. But the dream goes far beyond a simple track. Alongside the main racing stadium, the complex will feature a coursing field and dedicated areas for obedience training and socialization.
Future plans also include competitions and seminars, as well as all the necessary infrastructure: parking, toilets, spectator stands, a café, and even a kids’ zone.
For Estmak Capital, the whole concept sounded exciting – and the perfect piece of land was already in place.
“We’ve always supported ideas that bring joy and enrich local communities,” says Tatjana Arhipova, CEO of Estmak Capital. “This isn’t just a sports field for dogs. It’s a gathering place for the whole neighbourhood.”
A place for dogs – and their humans
Basfor was founded in 2017 with a mission to provide regular training, mainly for racing dogs representing Estonia in international competitions. But the mission expanded as more dog owners discovered the thrill and joy of the sport. Today, dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome to try something new and exciting.
“When I saw the atmosphere at a dog racing track in Finland, I immediately knew we needed one in Estonia,” recalls Inna Gaston, the founder of Basfor. “What impressed me most was how excited the dogs were – tails wagging, eyes shining. They couldn’t wait to race!”
The perfect spot, just outside Tallinn
This dream took seven years to realize. Things finally started to move when a team of like-minded, risk-taking people came together and initial support from donors began rolling in.
Finding the right piece of land wasn’t easy – until one team member pointed Basfor toward a large, flat field owned by Estmak Capital.
“The moment we saw it, we knew it was perfect,” says Gaston. “Easy access, spacious, and no nearby homes – ideal for public events without disturbing anyone.”
The Estmak team was open to the idea from the start. After Basfor presented their vision, a deal was quickly made. For Estmak Capital, offering the land at a great rate was an easy decision – it was exactly the kind of delightfully bold idea they love to support.
The real estate company has a history of backing creative and community-driven projects. From graffiti events on city fences to art displays in their buildings, Estmak Capital has always looked for ways to add colour and life to the urban landscape – for locals and visitors alike.
